Just tried Metro 2033 on eyefinity, maxed out at 5760 x 1080. Was averaging 30-40 FPS.

That is insane. Since i sorted my driver install out these 6970's are starting to impress me

@DayzaStarr - I currently use the 10.12a drivers.

Catalyst 10.12a should provide the best performance.

This is true. Ive tested 10.12 vs 10.12a. It's gained 3-4fps average.

Does anyone with Eyefinity know how to lower their primary 6970's 2d clocks? I've tried in afterburner but to no avail.

Apparently, because there are 3 monitors, the 2D clocks of the 6970 that connects to the monitors is 500/1375, as opposed to the standard 250/150.

This sucks because it means the card idles at 60c+ with some clearly audible fan noise.

Thanks,

Thanks,
I have this same problem except with two monitors, I haven't been able to find a fix yet. Now I'm just waiting and hoping 11.1 will fix it.

That doesn't support 6950/70 yet.
post #388 of 3890
No official support, but it doesn't hurt to give it a try, especially with the handy BIOS flashing switches on these cards.
