I had a spare reference 6970 which I had for a while but never used because my mb at the time only had one slot. Fast forward today I have a different board but the card isn't working. so anyone with a need for it for parts talk to me..

I have dual 6950 IceQ Turbo 2 Gb gpu from HIS. I already upgraded to HIS RadeonHD 7970 Ghz Edition (two cards for CF) lol

Nice. my dirt 3 6950 fans are dying - I paid sapphire to mail me new fans (it's way out of warranty) - and instead of sending me two fans like I expected - they sent me the entire cooler!

lol, I would hope that THREE flagship (once-upon-a-time) GPUs would still be somewhat viable!

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

If your card is a reference card, it should fit. You should go to Arctic's site and check the compatibility list.

AMD Radeon

Radeon HD 7000 Series - 7870, 7850
Radeon HD 6000 Series - 6970, 6950, 6870, 6850, 6790, 6770
Radeon HD 5000 Series - 5870, 5850, 5830
Radeon HD 4000 Series - 4890, 4870, 4850, 4830

I think you need a reference card for this to fit.

Already running 2x powercolor 6970 pcs+

Can pick up another one for 1-150$ and go trifire.

currently got both blocks underwater and got offered the same 3rd card with also a waterblock so cooling shouldnt be a issue

Is it worth it or should I keep running the cf 6970 until I can get something better later

Really? How long have you had yours. I've had mine for a little over a year and I've got no issues :O

I do clean mine and I don't run them past 60% Speed. I'm usually able to keep my temps around 60c, any higher than that and I lower the Graphics Settings!

Oh and HI GUYS biggrin.gif I've submitted my... requirements? And I'd like to slap the banner in my Signiture biggrin.gif

I am impressed with this GPU non the less, for $200 new it's been a hell of a good unit! handles every game I throw at it with Mid-High Settings and 60fps. Although as I said before, I don't push it to hard. I like to keep my load under 85%,

Still I threw a 3Dmark at it yesterday, and I was satisfied with my results. But non the less hello to you all!
