Oh Dolby Headphone is great for music and movies, though it can be done in software easily. Some DVD players have it. I use foobar2000 to apply Dolby Headphone DSP to my digital music when I export it into mp3s as described here:

And man, it does sound awesome for 99% of my tracks, not only through headphones but even in my car.

I agree, but why use outside programs when it's built into the STX? Besides, I use the Realiser anyways but can admit that DH sounds very good.

Got HD555's and the Xonar Essence STX w/ custom opamps. Love it VERY much.

Get some custom opamps to tune the sound you like ;D

Because the outside programs such as the Dolby Headphone wrapper used in foobar 2000 put them to shame. The level of customization and tweaking brings the best out of it.
