Anyone have there Computer hooked up to a 32"(or bigger) TV? - Page 2

I use a 22" 1080p HDTV in my room for main display, movies, and games and a 42" 1080p HDTV in the living room for movies only, and they work fine. The only downfall with the 42" is that things don't look goo unless I use programs with a 10-foot interface

I can't stand gaming on my 46". Nobody that comes over does either, then again you sitting on a couch or a recliner while doing it.

Sitting 3'-4' from a 46" HDTV. Lean back on 2 chair legs when gaming so I'm about 5'-6' then.

I've been using a 42 inch 1080p TV as my only monitor for about 3 years now. Truth be told its not the best TV (Westinghouse) but I love using it as a monitor. Playing an FPS, guns on screen seem to be about life size. Also multi-tasking, like watching a TV show and surfing the net, is completely enjoyable as you still have a good size for both applications. I sit about 5 feet away (deep desk) and at that range it completely covers my peripheral vision.

I have a dual monitor setup with a 23" 1080p monitor and a 40" 1080p HDTV and they are both about 2 ft. from me and i LOVE it.. tbh i use the hdtv for all of my web browsing and photo editing, its just so much easier that way..

47" lcd here. i played thru borderlands on the tv only, and after a while i got used to it, but at first it was hard too get used to. i actually prefer playing games on my monitor (ps3, 360,pc) just because it's much more comfortable sitting in my office chair

i DON'T recommend using a TV for computer use.

I bought a 42'' TV last year for this use, and man do i regret it. Playing games from far with a mouse/keyboard is awkward on a couch, playing with a controller gets you owned, and putting it on your desk makes the resolution look like ****.

Monitors will always look better for one reason. Pixel Density. 2 Million pixels (1080p) will always look better on a smaller screen than a larger screen.

Learn from my (very expensive) mistake. DON'T BUY A TV FOR COMPUTER USE
