6970 Game Benchmarks, with OC! - Page 3

OP, could you retest at least one of your benchmarks with the ram timing at it's default of 9-9-9-24 instead of 7-7-7-19? I also wonder if you can get it back to stock at 1.35V as well?

Stock is 7-7-7-21 @ 1.35, 1333MHz. If this were a RAM benchmark, I would consider it, but I will hold off on that for another time, sorry.

I see, there are 2 different types. No, I'm not asking you to do ram benchmarks lol

It's alright, I can see how it might be a little confusing given the info in my sig. A little off-topic, this set of Ecos has room to go, and I might try pushing them a little more tonight.

not sure if you want it, but I can probably run some benches on my 5970.

It's a public forum, you guys are free to provide results from anything. However, if things start to get out of hand, I will be reporting posts for removal. I will not have this thread go the way of so many other VGA benchmark/shootout threads. Keep it civil, and everybody's happy.

I just meant because it is the kind of card that can pull 90fps on games depending on settings. Thats why i was asking

That's alright, this thread was based around a single 6970, I would expect that the benches run on higher-level hardware would create better results. Hell, when CF worked (long story, really) on my 5850s, they undoubtedly provided higher framerates than this single 6970.

However, the positives outweigh the negatives for me, and I can still play most any game maxed out at 1920x1080 without a hassle.
