GTS 250 overheating problem

Thread Starter
Hey guys i currently have two GTS 250 in SLI and one of them run really hot. While i was playing Mafia 2 the card was at 93C while my other card was around 47C-50C. I'm thinking something went bad with the card, since i removed the heatsink and cleaned it up and applied some new thermal paste.

Yea, definitely something wrong.

I ran 2 GTS250s in SLI for a while too.

The top card was around 10C hotter that the bottom one.

Maybe reapply TIM on the card that's hot and see if that helps.

If not, then try switching the cards around and see if that does anything.

yeah thats your problem

put a bean sized dot of it. a little more paste is required on gpu's because they have a much larger surface area than cpu's.

have u try putting the top card to the bottom slot and the bottom card to the top slot?
also, only put the TIM on the silicon, the mirror-like shiny thing that has nvidia written on it.
