wow!! what a story! Rarely we hear the H50 get leaks (knocks on wood) Good thing i switched to H70. I had funny feelings with my old h50 but the great thing is CORSAIR covers everything due to warranty

Gtx 480 was $400 when I got it *.*

Yeah I would have switched to a H70 by now, but that won't fit in my M-ITX rig. I never would have thought my H50 would leak...

H50 leaks are very rare, from the pictures I don't see any obvious damage from a short(burn marks, blown resistors). Hopefully your psu's short circuit protection kept things from getting damaged.

Point of failure on the H50 looks to be the seal that goes around the copper plate at the bottom.

i just bought a h50 about a week ago and its in a superlanboy antec case coolin my i5 760 @ 4ghz but im buying a new case soon and if i find out of 1 other occasion of this leak before my 30 day warranty at bestbuy is up thats third strike for me and im gonna re-do my custom loop. or maybe switch for h70 if their fixed with the smaller profile??
pic of loop includes : swiftech mcp355 w/ petrastechshop top, black ice 2x 120mm rad, swiftech resivour, mcw80r, and my old aquaextreme mp05

This is the 4th confirmed I know of out of countless so it isn't such a big deal on Corsairs end. These things sell like hotcakes.
