What's wrong with the glossy screen? I would love a glossy screen lol. Anyway I don't really know any models to recommend, benq monitors are really good and so are Samsung so if I were you I would get one of them.

@jy360 Perhaps you are more handsome than me, I cannot stand seeing my ugly face reflected back at me! It's supposed to be a monitor, not a mirror, lol

1920x1080 would be OK too.

I found this one BenQ G2220HD, it would be good if it was matte....

Any Samsung should be an easy buy. If your on a budget, Hannspree and Hanns-G are all to my knowledge matte screens. Good luck : ) Cant go wrong with either brands.

You haven't really said a budget, but if you want top quality and those exact size and resolution, I'd recommend the Dell 2209WA.

Yes it's expensive, but it's one of the best monitors you can get.

Reviews:

There's also the Dell U2211H and the HP ZR22w both of which are newer and offer 1920x1080 but aren't quite as good as the 2209WA.

Uh, most of the screens from dell and a host of other companies. My desktop is matte and my laptop is glossy, doesnt bother me at all.

Thanks everyone, I would have preferred a Dell or Samsung but cash-flow restricted me to the BenQ G2220HD for £104 delivered, it is supposed to be very good, though basic.
