Live and learn yes.

1. Don't buy more mobo than you need !

2. SATA 6gb/s on 1156/1336 is not worth crap unless you look @ them as extra SATA 3gb/s ports that you may need.

3. 8gb RAM makes a huge difference over 4gb RAM EVEN IF YOU DONT USE IT DIRECTLY !

4. DONT BE a FANBOY ! Do your own research especially if the info you get is from an EVGA, Asus, etc, etc, fanny boy lol ;p

5. dont forget #1

I used to think "I might go xfire/SLI so I might as well get that option/Id rather have it than not"... I have never used the more than 1 PCI-E 2 slots. I prolly never will unless I get into pc games more than I am. So you know what ? Im have made a promise to myself that when I upgrade I will ONLY get what I will use!!

Say what? If none of your apps need that much RAM, and you aren't paging to disk with 4GB then how will 8GB be of any benefit?

Even when you're not paging, and not using the 4GB you have? Really?
