GTX 580 jumping between 2d and 3d mode?

Thread Starter
Does anyone know why my GTX 580 keeps jumping between 2d mode and 3d mode when im not doing anytihng graphically intensive? It seems to jump to 3d clock speeds whenever I go to another website on IE9, but may also jump to 3d mode doing other random stuff.

is this normal?

Because the GPU has to draw visual effects and that is done quicker in 3d clocks than 2d.

Does it really pose a problem?
I think it's normal, as all my computers GPU does that
And IE9 has GPU acceleration so that might be the case

and psst, dont use IE

i kid
