still, it would be a ultimate kick ass system, which would cost 100x more money than I have..

Thread Starter
Anybody here planning on doing a bulldozer build as their dream build?

Edit - I wonder what would happen to the world if Bulldozer owns Sandy and Ivy Bridge (sandy bridge is possible but ivy bridge seems a little far fetched. Haswell and Rockwell for 2012 would be even weirder ).

Hm... my dream set up is a bit unrealistic due to thermal limits.

NZXT Whisper
Gigabyte P67A UD7
Core i5 2500k (the 2600k is useless to me, HT adds nothing that would affect me)
4GB of Corsair Dominators (I love the look of that heatsink)
GTX 570s in SLI (this is where it becomes impossible)
Thermalright Archon (I don't think it'd fit, but hey, it's my dream )
4 x F4 2TB in a RAID set up (can't think of the specific number, but the one where a drive can fail and it'd still be good)
2 x Vertex 3 drives in RAID0 (for super epic boot speeds)
SeaSonic X-850
Das Keyboard Model S Professional (which I already own )
RAT7 Gaming Mouse (I have the RAT3, and I would like some customization)
3 x U2311h (2D Surround, foo!)
Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 (which I already own ^_^ )
-insert high end sound card-

Case: Silverstone FT03 Black
CPU: i7-2600K
GPU: 2x 6970
Mobo: P8P67-M PRO
HDD:
2x Samsung 1TB 7200
*1x Samsung 1TB 5400 (in hot swap bay)
*1x 64GB Kingston 64 V (as cache w/ eBoostr)
RAM: 16GB Gskill RipJawsX 1600 (8GB as cache w/ eBoostr)
PSU: Corsair HX850
LCD: 3x ASUS VE247H Black 23.6" in Eyefinity
Cooling: Corsair H70 in push/pull mounted on top exhaust (perfectly fits)
CD/DVD: Slot load DVD burner
UPS: Cyberpower 600W

*'s I already have

The high amount of RAM and my existing Kingston 64GB SSD (100MB/s read) in cache mode will be just as fast as a expensive SSD while providing a high amount of space without having to choose what's on the SSD or in "storage". My most used apps will be cached automatically and provide a lot less writes on the SSD extending it's life (since I've used it for 2 years now).

For a desk I'm taking a door and putting legs on it. $80 for 32x80 inches of space.

Apart from all that, the build is $3K and I'm waiting until the end of this month to build it as student loans take forever at state colleges. I'm a IT/Programming major and the screen space is important.
