Don't use prime, linx is far more accurate and takes less time.
If you do not want to corrupt your operating system, ensure your CPU is totally STABLE before loading your 24-7 operating system.

Thanks will try, i am dual bootin xp - vista. when i was in vista i could easily tell a difference in speed/performance of all my overclocks but now i went into xp and it just feels sluggish idk if its just me or whatever but it doesnt feel as quick. im monitoring my temps, all same as b4 but idk just dpnt feel right. will keep an eye on it though. testing stability with Games!

Well ima back(oh no!)

I tried going from 3.5 to 3.6 and i got a blue screen now idk if this is from the ram or cpu. so i increase the volt for cpu to 1.440 instead of 1.392 and i am going to run to see if i get a bsod again if not it was cpu not stable but if i do it is the ram. now what would i do to be able to have the cpu oc'd that higher but to have lower ram? since the ram is going along with the cpu oc, what do i have to do to override that to stay at a lower speed?

It ran great for hours on the previous speeds even with the "impossibly high ram oc" I was thinking about increasing the ram volts. The lowest i can set it to is +6.75mv so i was wondering if you guys thought that would be enough to keep the ram stable at these speeds/timings? If so, how much more heat would it give off? As i do not want to overheat them, i would rather run them lower and sacrifice a bit there to keep that ok as i cant "accurately" test the temperature.

In my opinion? Don't push anything any higher. You'll just lose your fine system You have a real high OC already

Ive been running orthos for 8 and a half hours and then stopped it for a second and to see if it has said any errors, none and started it back up before temps could even lower a degree. And has been running for another hour since, no problems at all so i think i found da sweet spot. I will have to check the ram temp every once in a while cus it scares me with u sayin it could overheat at what it is running.

I will continue to let it run as it is 12:03 here and will be going to bed shortly so its gonna run overnight and i am actually going somewhere first thing in the morning until around 4-5pm so it will run till i get back. It isnt often i get a chance to let it run that long without it interferring. It will have run a total of 16 hours unstopped and if you account for the 8 hours previous that i stopped for litteraly one second it will have run for a full 24+ hrs. So hopefully then it should be all good.

I know a 24hr test is what is needed to declare it 24/7 approved but i will never run it for that long at max temp ever unless i am doing some stress test. As i the only other thing that could really put that much strain on it is a game and i dont have the time ever to play more than 4 hours when i do get the chance. So do i really need that long of a stress test?

As for now i will leave it at 3.56ghz and enjoy its increase in performance from a measly 2.7ghz running idle at 25C and max temp at 45C

Oh by the way, how are my temps for stock air cooling at the overclock?
Good, bad, average?

Thanks for the help all!

Edit: Oops sorry its not at 3.56, it is at:
3.51Ghz
3510MHz
