hi,

i wanted a headset for christmas..and im not sure which is the best headset to get...so many to choose from...

anyways ...i wanted to use it for gaming, music and movies. (mainly music ...so i guess good bass? =D)

and no, i do not have a sound card.....also i have 2.1 speakers that i use in the day (T3100)...if that info is any useful to anyone =)

my budget will be around £60....lower the better...(but i might go higher if headset is worth buying.)

can anyone suggest any?

thanks

This headset by Sennheiser might work well.

I have been using a similar set for a couple of years. Although not the best in sound quality, they are quite comfortable for long sessions and the sound output as well as the mic pickup is (imho) more than acceptable.

Does it have to be a headset? Can it be stereo headphones and a separate mic?

Any "gaming" headset or in general anything labeled as "gaming" is going to have worse sound quality and value for the money then a pair of good headphones and a mic.

Find a good set of cans and

clip on mic.

You can also go with a desktop mic as well. Would help with the convenience.
