Photo OP: Lunar Eclipse on December 21st - Page 3

Yep, clouds weren't too friendly to me either. All I had to work with is my 28-135mm (50mm couldn't get me close enough), but I think I did pretty well. Got some almost-full eclipse pictures before the clouds became camera whores.

here are the best pics I could get with my Sony DSC-W170 . I had my $2 mini tripod keeping it stable.

TBH I am pretty impressed by the quality since its a simple point and shoot.

Beautiful lunar eclipse as well.

Not great pictures, but I'm definitely psyched to have been able to have this opportunity

I think the fact that we had a total lunar eclipse on the solstice was some really bad juju... I was supposed to come home from Illinois yesterday, and my flight from Champaign to O'Hare was delayed a ton due to weather and mechanical so they put us in vans to drive to O'Hare. Normally it would take about two and a half hours to do the drive. It took us five, so we missed our reschedule flight to Boston...

When we finally got on our plane at 11:00 PM central time, it was too cloudy to see anything, and I was sitting on the wrong side of the plane to try and see it out of the window anyway. Didn't get to see the eclipse But luckily I'm home
