best budget monitor?, (25-29")

Thread Starter
hey guys, atm Im looking for a beastly monitor on a budget.

Ive seen some 27.5 inch monitors in some spots for around the £200 (my budget is £275/$420) mark, which has convinced me to upgrade my old 19 inch monitor atm. Im living in the UK though, and afaik they like to charge us more for our monitors here than in USA -.-

requirements:

1. must have displayport
2. must have 7ms response time or less preferably
3. preferably low glare
4. preferably > 24"

bonus:

5. true 120mhz display is a bonus but this isnt important, and I doubt it can be done within budget...

anyone seen any nice monitor comparison sites, or can reccommend anything??

thanks a lot in advance. Im looking to get it ASAP so if I could get lots of advice asap, itl mean a big monitor for xmas for me .

I dont know much about projectors but am also interested in that route instead of there are any cost effective with a native res of at least 720p. I would be convinced to increase the budget to £320 if this was an option!.

thanks, that monitor looks awesome. is there any reason why the built in tuner wouldn't work in the UK? native res is 1920 x 1080, wouldnt a x 1200 native res be better?

no displayport makes me sad frown.gif

also is a 720p native projector out of the question on that budget? poke.gif
