Roccat kone vs steelseries xai

Thread Starter
I'm looking at these two mice and thinking about choosing one of them.
I'll be going with the 4HD hard mouse surface I suppose, unless there is something else.
I hear from you guys that these are pretty good with not too many problems, so I think one of these is going to be my choice...

Which one do I pick?
I need a new mouse, my current one is crap.

*sigh* I don't know what to do.
I was first going to get the CM Storm Sentinel until I heard that hard surfaces would scratch the feet. It looks like the Xai and Kone are good, but the Xai has some bad reviews regarding durability on newegg, so I'm not sure if I want it yet.
I just want some awesome precision.
I heard the Xai is pretty precise, but I'm hearing bad crap about it.
I'm going to see about the Roccat Kone.

*edit some more*
I can't even find sellers for the new Roccat Kones. ><<br /> Eh, I found the Roccat Kone [+] at http://airetechit.co.uk/store/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=26688&livemode=1

It has 6000 dpi so I guess it's the newest one, or at least one of the newer ones.
Not sure if it's the v3 or not, or if I should even buy it.
I live in the United States btw.

I got the xai and its a nice mouse. I have never had problems with it. Some people say not to install the software that it comes with and you will be fine using it plug n play. Never tried the Roccat Kone, but it seems like a good mouse as well. I think the xai is ideal for smaller hands while the Roccat Kone looks like its for bigger hands. Xai is a finger tip type grip, roccat I believe is a palm type. Just depends on how u hold ur mouse, if u want to pay more for fancy lights, etc. I think hard mats scratch the feet of any mouse you use. If you want to save a little money and buy my xai, send me a PM and we'll talk. Lemme know if u have anymore question with the xai !

OH yeah, zowie also has the EC-2 that came out, pretty sicc mouse for the price.

Both the kone+ and Xai use the same Avago ADNS-9500 sensor. The Extra DPI rating from the Kone is just for marketing purposes. Noone will effectively require over 4000 DPI to be completely honest.

Your choice should be based on features you want/prefer.

I have a roccat kone plus which is a brill mouse. Mine broke though and i am getting my money back on it at the moment. I find it too big for me though. I was also looking at a xai or a deathadder. Last respawn i had was total rubbish though.

Went through two Kones, never going back again, my G9 lasted longer than both 10 times over. I am also getting a Xai.

Argh I can't decide...
I'm considering buying the Xai from amazon and getting a 3 year warranty through SquareTrade.

Now I have to see if the 4HD is a good mousepad, or if I should get a different one.

Did you ever look at the Mionix Naos 5000 or 3200?

I'm about to just stick with what I have. I can't freaking decide, and the shipping on amazon for the surface brings the total with warranty up to about $135, and I won't even get it all by Christmas e_e

Why do you need the warranty? Doesn't steelseries offer its own warranty?
