Crossfire eyefinity WoW fps

Thread Starter
I know that crossfire doesn't scale well (or at all) with World of Warcraft, but I just want make sure that I'm getting the expected FPS. Right now I'm running the game across my three monitors with everything set to the highest setting except for view distance and shadow quality which are set to good, and multisampling and texture filtering which are set to 2x.

My fps goes between 40 and 70 while running around in Cataclysm (darkshire) and shoots up to over 120fps indoors. I haven't tested in a major city yet. Is this normal for my setup?

Edit: Drops into the 20s while running around in the most populated area of Stormwind.

seems about normal, i played in wotlk and populated areas (cities...etc) were around 20ish. As far as i know the coding in wow is pretty poor for almost everything (or so I've heard). So I wouldn't expect crazy fps rates with any setup. I haven't played cata though so I am not sure if they made any improvements but knowing blizz with that game, i'd have to go with a no.

It's fine. Populated areas will give you low FPS but when I'm out questing I'm near 130-140.

You guys aren't running crossfire or eyefinity though. I guess this helps as a reference point though.

Crossfire doesn't seem to do anything for me on WoW. I just tried it with one card and I was pulling the same frames as with crossfire enabled.

No eyefinity but do play at 1080 with crossfire. It does drop in populated areas, but not that bad, normally down to 40. I never go below 60 when im outside a city or anything like that.

CFX driver support (same with SLI) is garbage on WoW. Having two cards barely helps compared to a single GPU. Trust me, your fine
