Ok I got a 980x CPU. And its in the EVGA x58 Classified3 MB. With 12gb Kingston DDR3 Ram @ 1600. This is a system that I have just got up and running. This is going to be a replacement to the Sig rig. I did a clean install of Windows 7 64 Ultimate. But no matter what I do it only shows 3 cores. I went into MSCONFIG and set that to 6 to make sure. And in the Bios I have it set to all cores. But as you can see in these pics:

ALSO: If anyone knows this could you Please help. OK I had 6gb of DDR3 Kingston @ 2000 running fine in the system, after I got windows and some programs install I put the other 6gb in so the system would have 12gb of matched Kingston DDR3 @ 2000. But it will not boot @ 2000 so I got it running at 1600 right now with NP. I need to know what I would need to increase to help get the 12gb running @ 2000. In the Bios all I have taken off auto is the CPU moved it up to 1.25 and the Dimm up to 1.65. All the rest is AUTO so what do I need to bump up to get this to work?

I'm guessing you already tried clearing the cmos & then loading the optimized default values in the BIOS?

You might want to update the bios, are there any new versions on the manuf. site?

Ok I checked again and I have the latest bios for my board already. And Prime95 has been running the whole time I was gone with NPs and temps look good.

Does your motherboard show any information about the connected CPU? You should be able to see thread / cores in BIOS, at least I can do that on my MSI board.

It's not a Windows problem though, so afaik it's the BIOS, you should send an email to EVGA.

Ok Here is were Im at now.

If I disable HT in the Bios then log into windows, It shows 6 cores and 6 threads and runs Prime95 fine. But if I enable HT in the Bios then log into Windows it shows 3 cores 6 threads. And yes in the Bios it has a place were I can disable cores but I have it set to enable all. It only messes up when HT is on.
Can you see active threads / cores in BIOS? Does it show 12 threas when you have HT on?

The Evga x58 Classified3 doesnt show cores. There is only 1 place that allows you to enable/disable 1-5 cores and then theres a place that you can select to enable/disable HT thats all.
