I would definitely suggest the Asus Xonar DX.

The Striker is a great sound card but I feel that the Xonar DX is a well engineered and reliable sound card that produces the best value for the money. You can't go wrong with either one but my personal preference would go to the DX.

Do you have to have an internal sound card?

If not I recommend the NuForce uDac-2, its a DAC and AMP. I find that it gives better sound than the majority of internal sound cards. Do you use headphones or speakers?

Anyway just thought I would throw it out there. If you are set on a internal sound card I would get the either the Xonar DX or the Striker. I would probably spring for the Striker because it has both optical and coaxial SPDIF out while the DX has neither.
