Need opinions from Star Trek Online subscribers

Hey guys, I just completed the STO Demo and I am somewhat on the fence as to whether or not I should subscribe to this game or not.

Ive read a ton of reviews on the game, most of them negative, but alot of positives as well. Most of those reviews were written around the time that the game launched. I know that new content has been added to the game and was wondering what you guys thought about that new content.

Right now, the game is $9.99 in stores, so there really is no risk there, its more or less whether I should waste my time or not with the game. Ive heard that the end content is kinda lame at this point because you can only do 3 daily's and thats it, but again that was from a review written around the time of launch.

I would love your guys opinions on this game

well i got the game at launch, played it for the month, and have not reviewed my subscription and not planning to.

Its incredibly cool and fun for 2 weeks. But then it gets very repetitive. ALL of the missions are composed of fly here shoot that. Its the kind of game i would play once a month when im really bored just for the graphics because im a star trek nerd, but its definitely not worth the money.

Trust me you play the trailer you play the game there is nothing good in it that will make you come back and keep playing it. Its not worth the time or money in my opinion.

Content has been added since the launch. Thats pretty much what im concerned with, is whether or not the new content has made the game any better.

Your description is exactly what alot of the reviews said, but again those were written around the time of launch, and your pretty much saying the same thing.

If its still the same then I wont buy the game, if it has changed and is better then it may be worth some time.

Well i can only imagine more content being more of the same missions and more ships. STO still sends me emails im waiting and hoping they get something actually new but so far i have not seen anything worth my time. just my 2 cents.

I see that they are working on season 3 right now, and are adding more stuff. But as you said, if its just more of the same stuff then its not worth the time.

I wasnt particulary impressed by the ground missions, although I did like the space missions. It would have been cool however if they incorporated a bridge view instead of a 3rd person ship view.

I suppose the worst thing I could do is spend the $10, beat the game in 2 weeks and cancel the account.

ground combat sucked at release. it lagged HORRIBAD and it wasn't my rigs fault, it ran beautifully in space, and in other games.

I just went and picked it up, apparently the content is in season 3 right now, so a bunch more stuff is added. Ill let you know how it goes.

If it sucks, ill just cancel before my subscription is up.
