Oh! Safe cracking in Splinter Cell Double Agent. Combat in Alpha Protocol (Had a good story, awesome dialogue)

the combat was pretty much identical to mass effect, minus the magic. Using smgs and using its special was magical, you fire forever.

I still remember the epic battle at the end of Shadow of Chernobyl, where you popped from place to place all over the NPP and had a ton of huge battles. So, when I started nearing the end of CoP I began gearing up. Got my Exoskeleton repaired, got like 50 medkits, and hundred of rounds of ammo for my shotgun, sniper, and large machine gun. I set out with the group, popped some zombies, killed some snorks, dragged the guy through the psy field, and really started looking forward to the big fight coming. We hit the first decent size group of enemies and I was expecting to head on to some good action after this preliminary battle. Then the chopper came and the game ended, and I had barely used 10% of my prepared munitions. In SoC I went through hundreds of rounds and several broken weapons before the end, so I was quite disappointed.
I feel the exact opposite. I've played SOC once, all the way through. I've played up to Pripyat (in SOC) 5 times. The ending was so annoying, and played completely different to the rest of the game. I liked running around the wasteland, looting, shooting random dudes and quicksaving like mad incase a controller came out of nowhere. But the end was just crap, I can't keep wearing my own armour because it falls apart, guys kill you instantly at point blank, or just don't notice you till you ventilate their skulls, so random, and had more to do with luck and my magic quicksave key than my skill.

Other than SOC, liked Bioshock until Bioshock 2, liked Ubisoft until AC2, liked ME2 till you didn't get to see Tali's face.

The driving level in the first Gears of War on insane....what an annoying level LOL. Took my friend and I a good 1/2 hour to get through a 1 minute mission. I honestly think it was my friend though, can't point a gun in the right direction to save his life...or should I say spotlight lol.

GTA: Vice City, the mission where you fly remote control choppers into a building to detonate.

YOU KNOW WHAT, GIVE ME MY GUN AND I'LL DO IT IN HALF THE TIME ON FOOT

Aquaria: The very beginning, before you have any useful abilities, recipes, or any idea where to go.
Amnesia The Dark Descent: Each moment where a monster is scripted to spawn behind you as you pick up a macguffin.
Team Fortress 2: The introduction of community weapons (it was fine when there were a few guns, heavily tested by valve. Now they throw them in after a few hours testing to be sure it doesn't crash the game)
GTA4: The final mission. Being shot by an RPG while watching an animation of Niko getting into a boat is not very fun.
Half-Life: Being forced to go through the freezer with no way of avoiding the ensuing damage.
Indigo Prophecy / Farenheit: Everything after the middle point with all the Neo superpowers.
Lugaru: The three-wolves level

On that note I am somewhat amazed that Dead Rising 2 managed to have five dozen escort missions, and make them not quite so horrible.
