Need help with recent crashes..

Dont know if this is the right place, if not can someone please tell me where or move this topic ? Thanks in advance!

So I'm having some crash issues lately,

Lately with games like Battlefield 2 (Project Reality mod) or Battlefield bad company 2 after like 15-45min in game my pc freezes and does nothing I have to reset my pc by holding down the power button and then it reboots again..

I'm having this problems since I got my new ssd, but I doubt that has anything to do with it.

I can run games like company of heroes or GTA 4 on max specs and they will run fine, but when I try the above games (bf2 or bc) on low/med/high it will crash :/

What i'v tried:
Format
Drivers update
Games on SSD
Games on HDD
Reinstal the games
Stress test my hardware

Kinda desperate hier, I always played this game fine what happend ?

My specs:
VGA -XFX HD5870 1 GB
HDD - Western digital HDCaviar/1TB
SSD - OZC Vertex 2 (60GB)
MBO - MSI P55-GD65
RAM - Corsair DDR3 4GB 1600
Power Supply - Cooler Master Cooler Master,Silent Pro,600W
PRO - Intel CORE I7-860

Have you switched your HDD mode from IDE to AHCI or Raid in the bios?

So i'v looked in my bios and I cant quite find what you mean, I know what your are talking about but I cant find it in my bios :/
I think I dident change anything, so it should be the same as before.

Thats exactly the bios I got, can you tell me where to look ?

Because in screen 2 when I got to my HDD it will only give information.

Here's what I could find on the allmighty interwebz.
You need to change this mode to AHCI.
I don't know if it will fix your BSOD porblems, but I do know that you need this in order for your SSD to work properly.
So chances are this is related to your BSOD's.

It should be noted that a full re-install is needed in order for disks (also SSD's) to work properly when disk mode is changed.
This is because there are register values writen in windows wich depend on this mode.

Ok found that in my bios, its set in IDE at the moment.
The only thing is that I dont get BSOD's, but mine screen just freezes and stays that way (I also hear a strange sound bug trougth my headphones) Then I need to hold my power button down till it shuts off.

You still think I should change it to AHCI ?
I will if you think it will fix my problem

You deffinitly need to change this to AHCI moden, and unfortunatly do a reinstall of your Windows.
This is needed for your SSD, and for its trim to work.

I'm hoping this has also got something to do with your freeze problem (thought it was blue screens before).
But I'm hoping it does.

For when it doesn't work:
have you installed all the patches for the game?
And do you have the latest drivers for your video card?
