Graphics have always been an important factor in games... Crappy graphics makes the game less enjoyable. Crappy graphics/art can affect the gameplay...

Go back to your Nintendo, sense graphics don't matter to you. Good game play there...

I'll stand behind the OP, he didn't say its his MOST IMPORTANT factor.

To some people it is. And Snake, your avatar reminds me of Equilibrium.

Games I bought this year that I've enjoyed: Starcraft II, BFBC2, Dirt2, Batman Arkham, Plants vs. Zombies, Medal of Honor Airborne, FSX, Transformers WFC...

Games I bought this year and wish I liked but didn't: ME, Bioshock, Torchlight, Halflife Ep2, AC, JC2, L4D2, GOW, among others...

Jury is out on Portal, Metro, and Audiosurf which I have but haven't played much.

I know that it's a 2010 thread but I've only had a rig for a few months, so they are all 2010 to me.

Explain why Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas are so popular despite sporting graphics that would make 2004 blush in shame.

Go on. I'm waiting.

...

Can't do it, can you?

Right. Yes, graphics are a nice thing to have. I like it when a game looks good. Honestly, I do. But I'd rather have a game with excellent gameplay and storyline with bad graphics, say New Vegas, than a generic shooter with good graphics. Like Crysis. And it's not because of my rig, either. I loved Bioshock just as much as I did Fallout 3, and it actually looks good.

Nobody said graphics are the MOST IMPORTANT factor, but you obviously agree they are important enough to mention right? So you agree that they are important???

Which means you agree with the OP like I do right?
