Will the Mini HDMI to HDMI work with a 1.4a HDMI cable for GTX 470 to my monitor? Or does it have to be 1.3?

Oh I have a 1.4a cable and wondering if it would work with my 1.4a HDMI cable? Thanks for the quick reply. I just ordered my MSI GTX 470 1.2GB Frozr II and had a quick heart attack. LOL. Those HDMI cables are expensive.

You don't need 1.4 unless you're using HDMI for 3d and/or ethernet. But yes, it should work regardless but I wouldn't spend too much on an HDMI cable.

Yeah my next step is to get the 3D monitor and glasses to try out the 3D Blu-ray fun by summer time. Thanks again.

I just looked at the MSI website.

http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=pr...=&prod_no=2103

It said 1.3 support. The cable I own is a 1.4a and I'm hoping when I plug it into the mini HDMI connector it will work on a 1.3 version graphics card?

Well I went with the MSI AMD 6870 Twin Frozr II non-reference card for many reasons. It was a toss up with non-reference Nvidia GTX 470. I gave it a lot of thought and read a lot of reviews by websites and users. Though the GTX 470 is better by a slim margin it was a personal decision. Won't be worried about the HDMI capability.
