run them at 1600 at cas 7. it should be pretty much the same but you get higher bandwidth. i dont like anything above cas 8 with any speed. keep it at 1600mhz. =) once again. very nice overclock. applaud.gif[

I must have some crazy ram cause mine run 7-7-6-18 right out of the box...but they use 1.85 volts aswell...

^ YES ^
1.5 for 24/7.

Judging by your temps, ALOT. I only have the rs360 kit, and I have a video card in the loop. I'm pushing an extra 150mhz through my cpu, an extra .5v, AND I have my video card maxed out at 1.3v at my sig speeds. With all that, I have the exact temps you do, and I live in Florida:eek:eek.gifeek.gif I didn't do a before and after comparison though, as soon as it arrived at my shop, I immediately lapped the block. And I also didn't lap it to a complete mirror finish either, I just made sure it was flat and no large scratches.

Well, running more voltage does not raise the loaded temp substantially on this system like it did on my air cooler... in fact I just tried and 1.6v only raises it 2 degrees to 49C (just 5 mins prime95)... which tells me it has plenty of cooling potential left with a higher heat load or delta temp.

I'll give lapping the CPU a try. I'll admit I did it on my other rig and noticed no difference, but it's a fairly low heat CPU (Regor) compared to the 965.

I did use the layer method when applying the shin-itsu stuff. That stuff is expensive so I'll have to re-apply after lapping. I guess I'll never know...

What is good CPU/NB voltage for 2800MHZ? Is 1.35V enough? Been running 1.35V with 2600MHZ for half an year.
