Whats the best way to setup these 3 gpus in 2 systems

Compontnts 24/7 clocks:

CPUs
Q6600 3.3 ghz 1.3625
E6400 3.2 ghz 1.35

GPUs
XFX 5770 1 gig 942/1375
ECS 8800 GTS g92 752/1880/1051 (Core/Shader/Memory)
EVGA 8800 GTS SC 320mb g80 576/1700

MBs
Asus P5B Deluxe WiFi (P965/ich8R)
Gigabyte P35-S3G (p35/ich9)
Current:

Both mb's have win 7 pro x64

Current Configs:
Q6600 @ 3.3
2x2 gig G.skill pq
XFX 5770 1 gig
Asus P5b Deluxe (Has 2 x pci-e gpu slots)

E6400 @ 3.2 ghz
2x2 gig g.skill pq
ECS 8800 gts 512 g92
Gigabyte P35-S3g (one pci-e gpu slot)

Not using: EVGA 8800 GTS 320mb SC

Whats the best way to maximize my ppd ?

I was thinking of putting the 2 x 8800 gts (g80 + g92, not in SLI) in the Q6600 + P5b setup giving me

Q6600 @ 3.3 ghz (approx 4-5k ppd???)
ECS 8800 gts g92 (6-7k ppd currently)
EVGA 8800 gts g80 (4-5k ppd???)

That would leave me the E6400 + 5770 to play SC on (The E6400 gts around 1-1.5k ppd, what would the 5770 get at the above clocks?)

What are your suggestions to maximize ppd ?

I might try and put the 5770 with the Q6600... if you put it with the E6400, you won't be able to Fold SMP on the dual core. 3 cores of a Q6600 would still get a fair amount of PPD, and I think you'd lose less from that 1 Q6600 core, than you'd gain from using both cores of the E6400 (more so if you can OC it a bit more).

Sell the 5770 and put the 8800 in there instead.

So the 2 x 8800 in one system isn't a good idea?

I was thinking the Q6600 + 2 x 8800 would get me close to 15k ppd

Then the E6400 + 5770 I could use to play SC2 and not lose alot of PPD?? (could still fold on it when not playing)

Currently only folding on the E6400 + 8800 gts g92 and getting around 7-8k ppd

I wouldn't waste time trying to fold on the 5770, just use it for gaming.

Thing with the 5770 and the E6400, if you can't Fold SMP on that rig then. You really need to dedicate a core to the GPU, and that means you'll only have one core left...

If you game enough though, then go with it that way, and just use a Unicore client on that rig instead.

I am using an 8800gts 640mb and only pulls 300-400 PPD from my stock q6600.

And SC2 is rather CPU intensive so you wont be able to fold effectively on a C2D while playing. Trust me my i7 went down from 16 to like 5k PPD while playing that game. So you might as well use the q6600 + 2x 8800 as your dedicated folding rig and use the e6400+5770 for gaming.

I still say you sell the 5770.

Now how do I run 2 instances of gpu2 and assign one to each card?

What approx ppd would I get on this setup?

Q6600 3.3 ghz (I can push it more but like the < 53cel temps the TT120 gives me )
ECS 8800 GTS g92 752/1880/1051 (Core/Shader/Memory)
EVGA 8800 GTS SC 320mb g80 576/1700 (don't remember the shader ATM)
Asus P5b Deluxe
2x2 gig RAM
Win 7 Pro x64

Multi-GPU guide

The 8800s should make around 4k PPD each depending on OC, and the q6600 I believe 6k.
So a total of possibly 14k PPD is my guess.
