...can you show us more pictures?
if you have a picture of where the connector is supposed to go, we can give you a better idea of how you can go about repairing it.

Woah quick response. When I was spazzing out and trying to write this thread, my phone died. So I had to connect my phone to my laptop and grab the image.

Its up.

Thanks!

Ohh thats nothing!

You just have to recrimp the wires onto a new connector (the metal piece)

You can get those easily
and seriously don't worry over this is actually not a big deal

EDIT:

Everything you need is here

How do I do that? I live near a microcenter if that helps. This is my main rig so I really want this up and running by tomorrow.

-edit-

So I would need a crimping tool and a new crimp contact? Is it possible to reuse the one I have now? It looks like its re usable. Are there any household tools that could possibly replace the crimp tool? Any how to use these tools guides?

THANKS!

Microcenter has crimping tools, literally just slide it over and clamp in on it for a second to "clamp" the metal on.

Its better to get a new contact,
Go to MC they should have these by BYOPC
They are also really cheap.
I think you can use a multitool but it will be much more difficult and wont do the same job..

I doubt you will be able to recrimp it. I guess you could get some solder and put the wire on top of the crimp and lay the solder over it.

Since you mentioned Microcenter, I checked their site and they have that particular connector on their site.

Crimping tools are pretty cheap, usually less than $20. Heck, you could even use some pliers if you wanted.

Sigh it looks like I'll have to stop by MC tomorrow after work and finish sleeving my 24-pin cord tomorrow. Man I was so excited of getting this project done by this weekend. I started to rush it in the end and pulled too hard on the cord.

UGH, SIGH. Can I please have my computer running with the new sleeved 24-pin cord!...
