Thread Starter
Hey, I'm looking to spend about $1000 on a laptop mainly for gaming and was wondering if anyone had any good suggestions. Thanks!

^ Exactly what SZayat said. If 1000 is your absolute max i suggest looking at a refurbished g51 with an i5 430m and a gts360m / gtx 260m. They will still game fine and in desktop terms it will be an E8400/9600gt OC combo.

Well more like having a green edition/low clocked (good one EVGA ) of the 9800GT if you got with the GTX260m. The gts360m is like a lower clocked 9600GT though. Just wanted to make that clear.

I have a GX640 and I love it. A little under 7200 on PCMark Vantage. With single screen 1680x1050 most games are playable in high or medium settings.
