My First build any Ideas?

Ok so I am planning to build a gaming eccentric and maybe a good multi-tasking PC. This is my first time building one but I have done a lot of research and I have drawn some conclusions on what I want. However I am divided and unsure whether I can cut some corners and save more money.

Basically what I want to build is a somewhat budget minded powerful pc with the ability to upgrade to crossfire in the future, here is my list of parts:

Case: Cooler Master RC-310
power supply: Ultra LSP750 750-Watt Power Supply
motherboard/cpu: Asus M4A78T-E Motherboard with AMD Phenom II 1090T Black Edition Six Core CPU Bundle at Tigerdirect
http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicatio...17301&csid=_21
I am unsure about this deal because it looks like a great deal but I am not sure if I can get a better one for the money.
graphics-card: XFX Radeon HD 5850 again I am unsure if I can get more for the money but I am picking this one since I can get it for 200 dollars in Canada.
hard drive: Western Digital WD5000AAKS Caviar Blue Hard Drive - 500GB, 7200rpm
RAMatriot PGV34G1333ELK Sector 5 4GB PC10666 RAM - DDR3
Monitor and Keyboard: I will probably get a cheap LCD monitor when it's on sale or get in the us. As for keyboards i am still unsure but I might get an old mechanical IBM one if I can find one.
I also might add in an extra fan but I am not sure if I need it.

Any thoughts on this build guys?

1) Don't get a 5850. Get at 5870. Or a 5770.
2) Get an antec/corsair psu.

You can definitely downgrade the CPU to either the 1055T or even to a quadcore to save a bunch of money, and I'd pick up a motherboard with a newer chipset as well. I saw a few possible combos on TD through the link you posted. I'll second the PSU recommendation, Antec, Seasonic, Corsair are good.

If you purchase today (MIR on corsiar ends 12/20) :
Corsair 650TX and OCZ Reaper (1600 8-8-8-24) combo
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.567277 $119.99 after MIR

Also: 1055T and M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 combo:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.564830 $279 after MIR

All of this will fit in a CM310 case, but you will want the extra fans (120mm for front pulling in and 120mm for the side pulling in, both the highest cfm you can stand noise wise. Oh and a cooler for the cpu : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835103065

I have a CM310, but I was on a tiny budget when I purchased. If I could do it again (which I might anyways), I would get one of these 2:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811129066
or
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119233
Both cool better than the 310 and come with multiple fans. Not to mention, both are considerably bigger so you can have more room for a pair of 5870s.
It's so little!

really? is the higher price worth the performance gain? they both seem similar from what I've read. And what is wrong with the lsp powersupply? not good quality?

I checked out your deals and most of them seem good but I might just order from the canadian websites because they are faster to ship and I won't have to deal with cross-border issues.

Didn't realize you were in Canada. Fill out your profile so that we can suggest from the correct retailers.

To answer the above question, yes. It is an "ok" psu, but for the money you can get a much better one.

A few suggestions from suppliers in Canada: These should mostly by free shipping (that way you can price match with NCIS?)

Mobo: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16813130275 $99.99

CPU: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16819103808 $149.99

PSU: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16817139005$99.99 - $20 MIR = $79.99

Memory: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16820226103 $75.99 - $10 usd MIR

GPU: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16814150501 $134.99 - $20 usd MIR + $10.74 s&h
Run 2 of these in crossfire and barely more than a single 5850. These are single slot cards, so lots of room for cooling in the CM310

Fixed.
The motherboard and processor you suggested seem like a good deal and the Coolermaster HAF 912 would be a better choice for my build, although I not that fond of it purely from an aesthetic point of view. :/ although I might still go with that case or the antec 300 you suggested.
The power unit seems fairly priced. Although I do not think the pricing scheme works like that since it is already deducted from $119. What about the Coolermaster GX 750W 80+ Power Supply? It is on sale at Newegg.ca for $89.
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...rmaster%20750w
the price for the memory doesn't look bad but it is cheaper at NCIX.
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=55546&...kin%20Enhanced
However when you mentioned buying the 5770 I was a bit confused because I don't understand buying 2 5770s for $139 each when I could just buy one 5850 for $200 at TG
http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicatio...264&CatId=3669
or I could buy a 6870 at newegg.ca for the price of 2 5770s or a 5870 for a bit more, so I am not so sure about what you mean.

If you can get to NCIX in scarborough, shop there and use price match to match other stores; you save on shipping.

Take an honest look at an Intel platform

If this is your first build? I would not rule it out.

Do the research for yourself

The truth will set you free reguardless of the platform you choose

Sorry but I am tired of doing constant research for my build, plus if I change my cpu now I will have to change my motherboard choice and I might have to change my video card choice depending on what I get. so, sorry, I'm in too deep now.
