Crossfiring Sapphire 5970 with HIS 5850 - Page 3

First off, keep in mind the Xfire only works if:
1) Catalyst AI is On (regular or advanced are both fine)
2) You are running in Full - Screen

Once you confirm you are doing both these things, then in order for me to troubleshoot, could you please do the following:
1) install Unigine Heaven 2.1 benchmark, and MSI Afterburner (1.6 or above is fine)
2) run Heaven Benchmark totally maxed out, with Afterburner graphing away in the background. Please click 'detach' and expand the graphing screen from top to bottom of your display, and expand it slightly left to right before beginning the Heaven test.
3) save your benchmark results, then exit the application and navigate to your saved results file, then IMMEDIATELY take a screenshot with the Heaven results next to the AB graphs.

I'm wanting to see something that looks like this (it's kinda shopped, but this is the idea). The more graphs I can see, the better. And FOR SURE I want to see all three GPU usage graphs, and what they were doing while Heaven bench was actually running.

AFTER you've done this test, and saved your screenshot, shut down and take out the 5850. Then restart and run the EXACT same test again on just the 5970. Make sure it's the EXACT same settings. Do the same thing w/the graphs and everything.

Then take another identical screenshot for me of the results from just the 5970 and post both screenies. I should then be able to tell you what is going on.

Here are the benches. I would run it with full AA, but I tried and it was much too laggy. Also notice that then the CPU nad GPU dont stress as much. Also, I had to bring down my CPU clocks (as you can see) because BBC2 would bluescreen with the 124 error after a few minutes. My 965 was at 1.601v, PU-NB at something like 1.201 and NB was pretty high too. Figured that was rediculous as the 965 normally runs at 1.3v or something like that

Also noticed that heaven reads my gfx card as a 5800 serries. Does this mean it thinks that my 5850 is primary?

Also, is there a deeper problem I am having? Because when I play BBC2 I can only run it at all but detail and water at full and no aa with my current setup.

and xsf, dont you only get micro stutter when in CF? I get that same choppiness with only my 5850 in.
you need to overclock your cards at 950/1200.

when I used to have my crads in stock like you I was having the same problem, once that I upgrade my bios with the overclock it one, I was able to max the settings in almost any game.

and respect to MIcroshutter, yes when I was using 10.5 drivers I was having that problem, so what I did was that I renistalled my windows and installed catalyst 10.10e with 10.12 app profiles, and BINGO now battlefield bad company 2 runs a way better and yes I still have microshutter but much less than with 10.5. also you dont need to worry about that because the FPS at least on my setup never go above 50...

What drivers are you using???

Here is the link for the Bios
http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=185918

And yes you can use MSI afterburner but I prefer Bios because I dont need to be clicking MSI everytime I turn on my pc...

If you want try 10.5 hotfix and 10.10e hotfix with badcompany because for me those are the best drivers so far, I am using now 10.10e with 10.12 app profile.

Give a minute i am going to do a brenchark for you

I am going to so the brenchmark exacly with the same settings that you used

Thank you very much for your help. If I flash the vBios, would I need to get a specific version for my card?
