I'm looking forward to sitting in a Toronto coffee shop with my laptop this winter, sipping Coffee, working in my sketchbook, and listening to Bonobo on my new buds in one of the artsier parts of that city.

I've had them in for about an hour. They take some fiddling with to get acquainted but they are MUCH more comfortable than the $20 hard plastic buds. They seem built well enough that they will last a lot longer than the less expensive versions as well. Soundwise, they haven't changed my life to the point that I'd have ever spent $150+ but at $60 I'd say they are a Very Very solid purchase that I'll be getting my money's worth out of several times over. Oh... and the tune that I've enjoyed the most on these so far would be Bonobo's Kota:

I got mine in, the positives are:
1. They are pretty comfortable, they make a good seal in your ear canal and haven't hurt, of course I haven't done any really extended listening yet.
2. Looks good.
3. Sounds fine, the bass is pretty good like they claim, clear and clean sound.

Maybe I am just used to high-end sound but these aren't amazing or anything. I would be dissappointed if I had spent the $150 or whatever they normally go for. At just under $60 I am satisfied with them, they'll be competent portable in-ear buds.

Let them burn-in, it makes a world of difference.

So disappointed in these little guys Bass is overpowering... They blow the bass way out of proportion. Of course, you can argue for days about how solid and detailed it is, but it definitely leaks over into the other frequencies and muddles things up. Oh well, they're still better than the $10 JVC I had for portables before.

I just bought a refurbished set off their website for $40 this morning. It comes with a 90 day warranty. I figured (hope) that if something will go wrong, it will happen in 3 months. Still, for $40, I dont think it was a bad purchase.
