The oldest desktop/laptop you own? - Page 2

Dell Dimension 4300s. I think it is from 2001. Recently upgraded the cpu from a 1.4 "Williamnette" to a 2.8 "Northwood". I use this Dell as my web server. The Northwood was the fastest P4 my board supported (400 fsb), cpu cost me 36.00 off ebay. I did it just to see if it could be done as Dell carries the "not upgradable" tag pretty deep. I am glad I was not "messing around" with computers in 2001 as I probably would have given up for good.

Does my IBM PC Model 5150 (circa 1981) count? It still loads DOS just fine; I won a $100 bar bet about a month ago, from some guy that said it wouldn't start up... cool.gif I have a good friend that has a TRASH-80 that will still boot up too!

BTW - for those who don't know: that IBM 5150 is an Intel 8088 proc @ 4.77 Mhz, with two 5.25" floppy disk drives!
