Urgent hlp. Antic p183 chassis front panel pins not matching ga-x58a-ud5. What to do?

So I just got my parts and I see that the f_panel plug on the mb has different amounts of pins as compared to the front panels plugs. How do I go about plugging these?

It can be tedious, but the way it's done is that each pin is connected to the matching pin on the motherboard (each pin is labeled). But the reason why the amount of pins is different is so that the motherboard is hopefully compatible with most front panel cables so as to hopefully not be lacking a pin or 2.

The colors do not correspond. Either I put them color-to-color or action to action. Which one? Lol. Guess I'll only plug the off/on and reset. LEDs are annoying

You have to rewire the connector. My p5e and p182 didnt match. Get a safety pin and remove the wires from the connector, look at the mobo book and wire it up.

I didn't say colors. wink.gif I'm saying that they should be labeled with text. If so, then all that has to be done is that those text labels have to be matched up.

However, is the motherboard's manual helpful at all? The manual might have everything labeled.

Alright. There is no indication of - and + on them though. Yes, I am new to this just to say it early.

Just going to do power as that one matches up. 2 pins. tongue.gif still don't know which is plus and minus, though. The antecs manual doesn't say either.

I just noticed that the labels are right on the motherboard's PCB, directly beneath this connector. So, match the text labels on the cables to the labels on the motherboard (the little diagram on the PCB beneath the connector), and it will work.

The diagram is directly to the left of the text "F_PANEL" (it's in between "PWR_LED" and "F_PANEL"). And the Plus or Minus is labeled as well, even inside of this white connector thing.

I see that, but I meant the plus and minus of the plugs from the chassis. I'm guessing black is minus and the brown is plus. Like my speakers or any other powered cables.
