Best SSD option for $150 or less.

Thread Starter
I'm looking at getting a SSD for an OS drive. I have a budget of $150.00USD. So far it's looking like I'm going to be in the 64GB storage size range. It will be running in the sig rig shown below. SSD for OS drive, WD Vraptor for gaming drive, 1TB drive for storage.

Just looking for suggestions for getting the best drive possible in my budget.

Thanks, R00ST3R.

I would recommend the Vertex 2 60 GB.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-550-_-Product

The 90GB would be better (especially since NewEgg has it for $159.99 after rebate.) But you can't beat getting the 60GB for $109.99 after a rebate, and $129.99 before

I have one and I love it!

A C300 drive eh? Something like this?
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820148358

Could you elaborate on the benefits of a C300 interface based drive over others?

Micro Center one is "bang for buck" since it's only $99

But if you can go up to $150, you could also consider the 64GB RealSSD C300
It has faster 4k reads
Also when working with compressed data it's faster.

The Micro Center drive is pretty hard to pass up at that price... you won't get firmware updates as easily as some drives tho

So... I have two recommendations for the C300 interface based SSD. So far I'm thinking that's the way to go.

I'm going to hold off on my final decision until tomorrow evening. Will still be looking for any more helpful info, or great deals, until then .

The C300 is the best..ask anyone who knows about SSDs and they will tell you that.

http://www.superbiiz.com/detail.php?...tate-Drive-MLC

$130 - $5 coupon code RUDOLPH5 = $125 ..i've been saying this for far too long now..this is probably the 10th or more time I mentioned this..

That is the best 64GB. So get that. Yay!

I went ahead and purchased the Crucial RealSSD. This one to be exact:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820148357

Almost bought the 1.8" variation until my unusually small brain in an unusually large head noticed it . Also picked up a copy of Win7 to go with it. Can't wait to get it all installed!
