Why is it I always see hardcore PC gamers cry about having to pay for stuff? Its so annoying. What makes PC gamers so much better than console gamers that they should get free DLC? If anything Xbox 360 gamers should get DLC for free, they pay $7-$10 monthly just to play online. PC gamers got their dedicated servers this time. They always find something to whine about. You guys sound like my little brother, you don't get what you want so you whine until you get it. Don't get me wrong, I play games on Steam all the time, but c,mon, stop whining...
Thing is back in the day when PC dominated gaming market, we used to get DLC like patches for free during the life cycle of the game. Now it was a win/win scenario, cause devs where keeping their games alive, so the new people would buy them even long after release and we had a new stuff.
It is perfectly profitable model, a few devs like Valve use this strat to their benefit with a games like TF2.
Ever since consoles became so popular the paid DLC is the way to make them easy money with little effort and sadly enough it's going to get even worse.
Personally I don't mind the DLC concept, what i have problem with is their low value. Comparing to the main game DLC have a like 3 times less value per $ in most cases. If they only added same value/$ as the original title it would be at least fair deal.
