Why is my RAM slower than published

My samsung branded 4 GB DDR3 SDRAM is opperating at about 665 - 670 Mhz when i think it is meant to operate @ 1333Mhz. BTW it is Dual Channel

You need to set it manually to 1333MHz in the bios.

it list's it at half like 2:8 665 mhz.

This is normal.

DDR Double data rate.

double pumped. 665 times 2. that is your answer.

DDR stands for Double Data Rate. It's actually running at 667 MHz, but it's effectively double that, or 1333 MHz.

670 x2 = 1340

Your ram is running at the right speeds.
