6950/6950CF and eyefinity?

I guess 1 6950 wouldnt be enough for three lg 27inch 1080p monitors, right? Are there any 6950 eyefinity bench marks with both CF and single card. I know it's most likely just wishful thinking that 1 6950 could give decent frame rates on 3 monitors, but I might as well ask.

If you are going for three monitors you might as well go the 6970 route and add another one later when the prices go down a bit.

depends on what kind of experience you seek.
crossfire or trifire if you want to do some aa and such.
even tho the new eq AA seems good

you can play with one card, it will work.
I used a 5850 and it workd well, it was a pain in BC2 with 50fps at low settings but definitly playable and a 4ghz quadcore helps

I plan overlocking going water on my 6950´s, and 1ghz or so is the aim.

Sounds to me like people are underestimating how well a single 6950 would handle 3 monitors at just 1920x1080 each.

depends on your criteria,
I aim max fps and with 3 screens that means over 100fps.
a 5850 1ghz wasnt enough for bc2 at 55fps it was just to low, a single 6950 is for my needs not even close to what I want.

sure, you can play with a single card, but BC2, just is demanding, and if you play that well, then you need it.
other games are easier on the hardware and I suppose a single card is then good for most.

so, yes a single card a 6950/6970 is for most people good enough for eyefinity depending on what settings you want to run it with, however if you use dualcore or such then it might just suck.

Yeah...I'm not really understanding the comparison to the 5850...or why 100fps is needed for anything. The 6950 is designed for very high resolutions and will be more than capable of handling 1920x1080 x3 for anyone that understands what they are buying. If someone requires the very best performance on the most demanding games...I don't know why they'd be settling for a 6950.

lol 50 fps would be more than enough if it was at high settings.

BTW i figured that the 6950 would fair better in eyefinity with 2gb of ram.
