Thread Starter
I am looking for advice on what to upgrade to on my sig rig. I feel like i need to get an aftermarket cooler such as the H75 and a new video card. mainly, any products recomended for either of these or something else?

Cheers!

try to get a sandforce one... even if it's small. use it as a boot drive

SSD does make a difference but mostly on loading times but won't help you in gaming or anything like that, SandForce controllers are great and I have an A-DATA S599 64GB with a modified firmware for about $100 and it's like night and day loading windows, apps, etc.

Sandforce SSD will do, i.e. OCZ Vertex 2.

Skip the cooler and go with an SSD + GPU... try these out...

OCZ Vertex 2 60GB ~$130
Asus GeForce GTX 470 ~$250
Total ~$380

Crucial SSD's are very damn fast, especially when plugged in SATA3. Imma buy one myself after Xmas to the 2nd PC.

i'd def. go with a gpu upgrade first, and an h50/dh14/silver arrow next (any of those will take a 1090t to 4+ghz) those two things would boost your gaming the most

yeah ssd's are great, but if you leave your machine on all the time, the only diff you see is launching programs, and yeah its snappier, but they're still dropping in price and the $/gb is just now getting to a reasonable range
