G.Skill/Corsair/Kingston RAM most likely
But not OCZ. Those can sometimes be bad.

What are you upgrading from? If you are going to go that high, I would almost wait for the new Sandy Bridge to come out next month.

upgrading from nothing hah. this will be my first build, but i want to do it right.

i already have the i7 950, but i'm trying to find a decent board around 200
post #5 of 10
That board's a good choice...another good one is the x58 Sabertooth. It ain't as pretty as the evga board but it's got a five year warranty. Since you're new to the game lemme tell you that warranties are everything when it comes to hardware. As for ram, I can't recommend Mushkin enough. Excellent company, excellent product. Good luck man!

Yes, socket 1366 requires atleast 3 sticks of RAM.

Read thru that and you will see what the new CPU's are like Since you already have the i7 then you should be good with that board.
