I ripped apart my 530s a while ago (before I sold it) and found the following:

Hitachi Deskstar HDD (is now my sig. rig's backup drive)
4GB DDR2 RAM (the exact manufacturer escapes me but pretty sure it was Kingston)
Intel E8300 2.83GHz CPU
Foxconn G33M02 motherboard (Dell branded, of course)

The only thing that you could make a valid argument for Dell skimping on is their power supplies. While none of the components of my system would be considered top of the line by any stretch of the imagination; they are certainly not "cheap" either. The whole system worked for two years until I sold it.

Actually, to be honest my XPS 710 had a Foxconn mobo (Dell branded), Seagate HDD and I believe it was Kingston RAM.

Pretty much only the PSU is the mystery component.
