Wierd BF2 Problem - Page 2

I used to have that problem after a certain nVidia driver. Even up to most recent ones. It was weird since every nVidia machine I would play on would have that problem. If you drop the AA to 4x it will go away.

Reinstalled the game, the patch, the NVIDIA drivers, deleted my BF2 cache, reset in-game graphics/shaders, and I even tried with a different GPU with no luck.

This sucks .

Ok. I've had this problem before. I think I fixed it by following these steps.

Step 1, Uninstall BF2
2. Update your Nvidia Drivers, Restart
3. Reinstall bf2, however, run the installer off the disc in Compatibility mode for xp SP3.
4. Do the same for the patchs, run in comp mode.
5. When running the exe, set that up to run in comp mode as well.
6. Hopefully it works. Good luck.

get it off steam and try it, worth a shot as it's cheap on there and will be fully updated. If you still have the problem I would start checking out hardware.

Not worth it because I don't play the game that much and BF3 is coming soon. Mine is fully updated as well but I have no idea what the problem is. It was a fresh install of Windows 7.

I'm not sure if hardware could cause this, well sort of. My previous build had this same GPU, HDD, RAM, and OS. The only thing that changed is the CPU, PSU, and motherboard. I also tried with a second GTX260 but had the same problem. I really don't think a CPU, PSU, or motherboard would cause this.

I have BF2142 and I'll try that to see if I have the same problem in that game.

Probably worth it to try all the AA settings. And try resetting your settings in the nvidia control panel.
