2.1 Computer Speaker for ~$50 - Page 2

Those Eagletech speakers have fairly good reviews. They have tweeters, for what it's worth. It can't be much worse than the Logitechs and have the potential to be better.

They seem pretty decent too me well for the price and might be better than Logitech or creative s, Right now im done with pc speakers and went all out with a custom receiver setup But when i was looking at them before i got the receiver and stuff i almost bought them sense they have a dedicated tweeter, but was worry about how loud they go and didn't want a underpowered speaker system.

But for under 100$ it could be a decent system.

I recommend this too Thats pretty much what i did but bought the receiver new from newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16882120164 200$. And its very nice.

Than i went down too my local goodwill and saw some lsi series floor standing speakers which are 37in high and wow they sound nice, Than i added 2 more rca book shelfs kevlars and a old Philips sub which i got off my old stereo and the kevlars was free And everything sounds clear and goes really loud if i want too and well beats my logitech 2300s like 10x... lol but 2300s wasn't bad for a budget speaker system if you find them under 100$

But than again he did say and they gonna be powering from a laptop.

I am not looking for 5.1, I just want a pair of semi-decent 2.1 speakers that would be connected to my laptop.

Semi-decent 2.1s which i would think the eagles would be decent for him,Heck they might sound more than decent.

Or even the klipsch 2.1 would be good. But if you gonna be spending over 100$ i would just save up and get a old 2 channel receiver with some decent speakers, Or a 5.1 channel and just run it in 2.1 channel if you don't want 5.1.

Well really what it comes down to is money. I am set on only spending around ~$50 reason being that I already have a nice receiver and 5.1 system for my TV in the apartment. I just wanted something somewhat small that would fit on my desk that I could hook up my laptop to. I really just want a upgrade from my crappy laptop speakers that are about as quiet as a mouse.

I would think about getting the Eagletechs than They are gonna be like 10x better than laptop speakers.

Sense all reviews are pretty good on them.

Yeah! So now I am torn between those speakers and don't know which ones I should choose. Should I get the Creative speakers or the Eagle tech speakers? Would I even really be able to hear a difference between those two sets or does it just come down to which one I think looks better?

I'm currently helping my buddy buy also a "cheap" set of 2.1's. The Eagle ET-AR504LR-BK seem to get better reviews from Bjorn3d then the more expensive Eagle ET-AR506-BK's

Here is a review for the Eagle ET-AR504LR-Bk's

What do you guys think?

Id say your best bet at that low price range is a pair of $25 dayton passives and a small amp. Theres no sub obviously, but they put out enough base to sound good. Sure you can get a 2.1 computer kit for the same prtice, but the quality on all of those is just pure crap.
