My gtx 470 does 900 core, which means its faster than the gtx 480 and gtx 570 at stock.
And round and round we go.
A 570 does 900-1000 core.

Its always gonna be 10%-40% faster. The end.

Haha. GTX480 to get 900Mhz core will need Water. GTX570 can get up to 950Mhz on air and even 1Ghz if you have a good one with 100% fans speed. My GTX 580 @ 900Mhz 1.125v @ 85% fan speed does not break 58C in 3Dmark 11.

The gtx 5xx has a better stock cooler, apples to oranges. The gtx 580 uses more power than the gtx 480, again a better cooler gives the illusion of better cores, which in actuality it's not nearly what people want to believe.

Hype, I buy it for +$180~ for slight performance gains.

40% faster? I need some of what you're on so I can think I have a 980x when I don't.

Ultimately if you want the most performance clock for clock you should go with a 480. The 480 is a hot mofo and needs to be water cooled to get the full potential.

Thus, if you are willing to water cool go with the 480, if not go with the 570.

lol it is funny that at 85%(max aloud) fan speed I get 61c and 51c at load on my 580s and they are basically stacked on top of each other with the Rampage III gene that I have

Another flat out lie.

http://www.anandtech.com/show/4051/n...in-the-gaps/15

The 480 uses more power then a 580, idle and load.
Lol, the 570 actually uses less power then a 470 as well.

You post enough bias towards your GPU as it is, we don't need false information on top of it.

One 470 runs as hot as 2 460's in SLi.
A 470 is nearly a clear 15C hotter at load.

The GF-100's have been cheap since the GF-104 made them look silly.
SLi GTX 460's nearly match SLi 470's.

Listen I am not trying to bash the GF-100's, we all know how dissapointing they where in the heat, power and noise areas.
They have good brute force performance and can be had for cheaper now, but I still see GTX 480's everywhere for $350-$400.

Did someone say $180 difference?

Yes in some games the 570 just trumps the 470.

I can get my 480 to 920 stable on air cooling alone!
