You need to remove the stock mounting hardware first. Remove the motherboard and take whatever's behind the motherboard screws off.

Does anyone even read??? I have stated this over and over in this thread....

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REMOVE THE MOTHERBOARD to install a SWIFTECH APOGEE GT on an AM2/AM3 BOARD. IT USES THE STOCK AM3 BACKPLATE!!!!!


The only thing that gets removed is the plastic thingy on the CPU side of the board.
