You can, but the pump uses 1/2ID tubing, unless you get a D5 top. Which in that case you'll be able to use any fittings. If not, you'll have to use some type of reducers with 1/2ID going from the pump to 3/8ID going to your other parts. IMO, it'll look weird. Stick with 1/2IDx3/4OD tubing. You'll be shelling out extra just using reducers.

yea, that pump you have listed has 1/2" in/out so you want to keep an eye on that. I have had decent luck with the MCP350 pump and it runs quite a bit cooler then the MCP355 AND both have 3/8" fittings on them. a good dual 120mm rad w/ a drive bay res might work better for your build. i can tell you right now from experience that the thermaltake bigwater kits are GREAT for first time WC's, but they are total garbage once u actually get good stuff. lol
also, what exactly do you plan on watercooling? cpu, gpu, mem, etc...?

thx for the further replies everyone, i really do appreciate the info.

i have no preferences for fittings i just want to use what works properly as meant to be. im only cooling my cpu but i like really low temps so it should be a simple task. however...

im strongly considering making everything external , rad, pump, res, and that way maintenance will be easier. Im thinking about either getting an acrylic htpc case and gutting it and custom mounting the WC equipment and have the box sit next to my pc. that way i can pick high performance stuff and not worry about size limitations. or ill fabricate something out of lexan or something and get some panels and cut em myself.

ill use quick disconnects for where the loop enters the case and then goes to the cpu block, which is the only thing im cooling.

soo, with an EXTERNAL cooling situation in mind, i want a monster of a rad, a crazy powerful pump, and as large a reservoir possible. budget isnt much of an issue as ive got a birthday coming january 24th and work is going well so i got some cash to throw at this to do it right.
