Corsair H50/70 worth it? - Page 7

xspc is legit

@ breakbeat. i have no vested interest in any of the results of those tests, nor do i care if a fellow member is unable to draw his own conclusions from the results of them. i provided some easily acquired links to some nh-d14 and h70 / h50 reviews because of the purpose of this thread. "Corsair H50/70 worth it?" . in addition to that, i offer my worthless opinion of "no, noctua is better"

What's the stock speed on your processor? 93C sounds extremely high for something as low as 3.2GHz. I had lower temps on an E8400 @ 4.5GHz using my old Tuniq (the original one)

stock speed is 2.5GHz, 3.2GHz is at 1.3625v

I think a reseat is in order, but also i'm getting my Q6600 in the mail so I'm not too worried about it

And that is with Intel Burn Test. Idle: 40c load 93c

OP: just lap yout heatsink, get a nice fan, and use OCZ Freeze or equivalent termal compond... Hope you got the G0, and you should be fine! Look at my sig rig, I'm not using anything super-duper for cooling, and my chip never hits 69*C under full load
