Hands down the best thing I have done so far with this build idea was get some input from you guys first. just 1 570 for the time being seems like the perfect card for me! I just need to figure out my mobo cpu situation now lol. Do you guys think this kit looks like it will be worth it? or nothing but problems.

I can't say the same, I was pumped. I pretty much went into bios and started playing with things :/

I jumped straight from 2.66ghz to 3.8ghz in one fowl swoop, everything just worked out. I know a lot more though now, I have a little idea what I am doing.

OP dont buy the prebuild haf computer. Build it urself man u will learn a ASSLOAD not to mention it will be cheaper. Understanding the hardware is so important I think every1 should build their own computers.

So, I figured to hell with it I will pull the trigger stop being lazy and get my hands dirty. I took into consideration bits and pieces of advice I have picked up from all of you (Thanks tons again!!!) honestly. Here is what I came up with for building my own pc!

COOLER MASTER HAF 922 Mid Tower Computer Case - $89.98
COOLER MASTER Megaflow 200 200mm Red LED Case Fan - $21.99
COOLER MASTER Silent Pro Gold Series 800W PSU - $159.99
BIOSTAR T5 XE CFX-SLI LGA 1156 Intel P55 ATX MOBO - $114.99
Intel Core i7-875K Lynnfield 2.93GHz LGA 1156 Unlocked CPU - $319.99
COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 120mm CPU Cooler - $29.99
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series (4 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 - $109.98
VisionTek Bigfoot Killer 2100 Gaming Network Card - $69.99
EVGA GTX 580 (Fermi) Black Ops Edition - $529.99
Intel X25-M SSDSA2MH120G2K5 2.5" 120GB (SSD) - $229.99
Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" - $87.99
LG Black 10X Blu-ray Burner - $79.99
Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound - $9.99
Arctic Silver Thermal material Remover & Surface Purifier - $9.99
(GRAND TOTAL $1864.80)

Do you think a Noctua NH-D14 CPU Cooler would fit in that case? Because I would much rather run that CPU cooler If I can fit it!!!!

I decided to go with that MOBO & CPU setup because of reviews that were really good when put together.

As far as case size goes I picked a mid even though it still looks pretty big because I live in a condo and room isn't something we have very much of so if I can fit on my shelf that would be great!

For the GPU I realized how much money I will save doing this build piece by piece and out of a (2,000$) budget I was able to get that instead of the 570 and still spend less than original plan!!! THANK YOU FORUM! Reason I choose to stick with 1 GPU is because I play mmorpg's and I like to keep them in window mode due to constantly looking stuff up lol.

The network card seems to work well for others in games like WOW and such when controlling ping. (is it worth the buy?) (currently playing FFXIV and will be for a long time to come.)

Is there anything else you think I should order to make sure I have everything needed and ready to go? A friend who knows what he is doing is going to help me assemble everything so I would like to be ready with everything needed and in front of us when moving forward.

I am going to hold of a couple weeks just to keep an eye on prices after the new CPU's come out. But if nothing changes soon I am just going to go ahead and order. My pc at the moment is seriously pissing me off lol. Thanks again for the advice and look forward to future responses!

i actually liked the EVGA mobo, theyre are very reputable for theyre customer service and support, but like you say the reports on new egg about the biostar are really good, so im sure it will be a wicked system! did you have plans to sli the gtx 570 AND overclock at a later date? if so might pay to get a slightly bigger psu(otherwise should be plenty powerful). the noctua would be epic if you could get it to fit, but im excited to see how this turns out, make sure you show us all

yes the noctua would fit in the haf. Also did u really need a seperate lan card as ur board would have that on it already.
second thought: I always used rubbing alcohol to remove tim so u might not need the artic silver tim remover.

You certainly don't need a quad core with hyper thread for games. The i5 750 would give identical results.
