Catalyst Southbridge Drivers

Thread Starter
Over the course of the catalyst drivers, I have always been able to find the southbridge drivers and the ahci drivers. I always been able to install 1 of them as they seem to contain the same driver. But the SB driver is smaller. I always found corresponding ones up to 10.10. They were not blatantly easy to find like on the main driver page. Now that 10.12 out, when I run the ATI remove all driver thing, does it remove those SB filter drivers since it wasn't really included with the main package or even the all in one ~120mb hotfix files. I also wonder if they are needed or do people even bother with them? Like if there is can someone point me to the 10.12 sb/ahci. Also why is there two of them before when I can only install one of them as they both update the SB?

The ahci driver is just for the hard drive so you can run it in ahci mode better. The southbridge driver is the driver for the southbridge and I do not believe they contain the same drivers, at least from my experience they don't.
