What's the difference in those?
Its called "The Way Its Meant To Be Played" aka nVidia optimization.

Wish they would release a drive that throttles both my GPUs under load. Only package I have been able to find that does is 10.5...

***? Is it just me or does the 6970 seem much stronger than in the early reviews?

There is essentially no change in the 6970, they better give us some real improvements over the next few releases, they did promise big gains in the next couple driver releases.

It does...some of the early ones had it more or less on par with the 480, didn't they?

I installed these new drivers and have all sorts of weirdness going on...In a good way!!
Gaming seems smoother, card for some odd reason runs a lot cooler, like 10-12 degrees cooler, and it overclocked a lot higher then I normally had it! which also increased frame rates, but I noticed the smoothness before I started to push higher. And the flickering went away!!
Isnt that unusual??

wow i just realized that... lmao

At least HD5xxx series users can take some solace in that there were actually incremental improvements from release drivers, in fact more than with the GTX480, so DOES THAT MAKE ATI'S DRIVER TEAM BETTER THAN NVIDIA'S?
