BFBC2 is a disappointment - Page 11

Agreed.. you're too used to fast paced close quarters..

Bfbc 2 is more of a "realistic setting" wide areas and requires a lot of tactics and spotting and ESPECIALLY teamwork. I don't care about k/d cuz it's not important when it comes to teamwork. All i care about is the team to win!

Takes practice, here's a first tip.. if you see a opponent press Q to spot

I forgot to mention.. there is bullet drop so you need to measure right. You don't see nothing like that in Call of Duty

So i played the game.. and its bull****. Not for you guys maybe but for me, it dosent seem to be my taste of FPS MP game.

This i dislike
1 - Vehicles in game.
The apachee chopper and all the frigin tanks. The last thing
i want to expect is getting spwnkilled by some noobs on
the helicopter.

2 - No 1 man soldier spree
No killing spree. Everyone i kill someone, another dude is gonna backstab me from the back. And the map is so friggin big with full of campers, ill have to wait for 1 hour just to get 1 kill.

3 - No 1 hit KO with a sniper rifle
Enough said. This is boring.

Im switching to MW2.

When that happened, I closed out and have never played the game since. Funny because it wasn't even like a "OMG I hate this I keep losing I rage quit forever!!!" It was more of a "Wow... this is so weak and too easy... *yawn*"

Sit in a corner for a few minutes. You're guaranteed to kill 3 enemies that run by and get a spy plane.

Use the spy plane. Run around with a knife like a noob and kill 3 more people. Congrats, you got yourself a sentry gun.

Drop the sentry gun and sit near it guarding its single rear blind spot. Within seconds you'll have your last 3 kills for chopper gunner, which you should then be pretty close to finishing the round.

Congrats, you won the round and have a guaranteed victory for the next round with your chopper gunner. Rinse and repeat.

There is nothing win about this rather incomplete assessment of CoD! Play HC S&D on tactical servers and see if that nonsense descibes your play experience.

All the COD bashers in this thread apparently believe the only gametype in COD is TDM, or FFA.. lol. Ok!!

I played BC2 from launch day till my 8800GT died.

http://bfbcs.com/stats_pc/%5BTGA%5DlethaL

When I finally replaced my vid card Black Ops came out, havent touched BC2 since (as you can see in my link above).

I thought the frostbite engine was cool, I loved destruction 2.0 and the bullet drop. I had no problem with vehicle use. I did have a problem with vehicle abuse. Grabbing a heli just to ditch it behind enemy lines (realism, I think not!) so your squad can spawn on you repeatedly (more examples of realism.. not!) and wreck the defenses from their spawn. Those cheap non realism moments could have been solved by admins though on the right server, just like COD's non realistic moments can with the right server/admins (excluding MW2 of course, no dedicated servers)! I mostly raise them because claims of ultra realism in BC2 on these forums makes me laugh the minute I think of spawning on teammates!

Another thought.. the claims of teamwork. All across the 1st page of this thread people are saying get your friends to play and you'll have fun. To me.. this is a huge failing in this game. If the IN GAME voice comms worked you could coordinate and team play within ANY players, squad, and team!

To suggest COD lacks teamplay is foolish. Sure if you play those modes of kill kill kill like TDM or FFA (like so many of the posts talk about.. geez the post quoted is all about corner camping for kill streaks with no mention of objectives.. try a different game mode for the win? guess not) then your experience will not come with alot of tactics. If you play search and destroy on tactical servers you wouldnt be saying any of this nonsense.

COD is what you make of it.. and here's the shocker.. the same is true in BC2! For me the biggest differences are large scale maps in bc2 versus smaller scaled maps in cod.. and voice comms that work! Everything else can be admin managed in either game for the experience wanted.

MW2 obviously does not fit this model though.. no dedicated servers. I think the whole COD franchise still has such a black eye with pc gamers for MW2.. myself.. I skipped it and when BO was annouced to return to the dedicated server model.. it was on!

MW2 feels exactly like every other shooter.
I can see through the polish.

For me, BC2 felt more alive.
From shooting through buildings to the destructible enviroments, to a superior graphics engine, better particles, bigger maps etc.

Maybe that basic shooter FPS engine has just run its course on me.
I am big on interaction, immersion and variety, and BC2 rolls MW2 in these categories IMO.
